Rachel is an experienced Chartered and HCPC registered musculoskeletal physiotherapist with a distinguished career in both professional sports and NHS settings. Currently sharing her time between The Pure Practice and as a First Contact Practitioner within the NHS.

Having worked with elite sports professionals at the Welsh Rugby Union, Bath Rugby and the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, Rachel has a wealth of expertise in managing and treating sports-related injuries in both the adult and paediatric populations. Applying the latest rehabilitation concepts, Rachel aims to support clients return to performance at a greater level than they were pre-injury, with a specialist interest in traumatic shoulder, knee and ankle injuries.

Whilst also having a passion for long-term independence and life-long activity, Rachel is the creator and instructor of our “Strong and Steady,” small training group, designed specifically for individuals aged over 75 to improve or maintain their resilience for all life’s challenges. She also leads our specialised Concussion Management Service, ensuring the most evidence-based treatment for anyone affected by mild traumatic brain injuries.

Rachel has always loved sport and activity, previously focussing on tennis. More recently she enjoys running and has been seen in the Bath Half Marathon event most years!
