Shockwave Therapy

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is a proven electrotherapy tool for the treatment of tendinopathies.

It is approved by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) and is therefore recommended for the symptoms of achilles, patella, rotator cuff or gluteal tendonopathy.

Did you know tendon problems are more common than osteoarthritis? It is more effective when used alongside a rehabilitation programme to ensure recovery is comprehensive and the symptoms are less likely to recur. Shockwave therapy is becoming more mainstream for tendonopathy management and as such if any of our therapists believes it will be effective we incorporate it into a regular treatment session.
