Vestibular Rehabilitation

placeholder 1

Are you or someone you know struggling with dizziness?

Vestibular rehabilitation is a specialised exercise-based treatment designed to reduce dizziness, and improve balance and physical function. Treatment begins with a comprehensive balance and vestibular system assessment, taking into consideration the wide range of sensory and musculoskeletal factors that can influence balance. This assessment explores symptoms, movement patterns, balance control, eye–head coordination, and neck function.

An individualised exercise-based programme is then developed, helping the brain to adapt and improve coordination between the inner ear, eyes and neck through structured eye and head movement exercises, balance retraining, and specific neck mobility, strengthening, and postural strategies. The programme also aims to improve understanding of why symptoms may have persisted and address secondary issues such as reduced mobility, weakness, stiffness, and loss of confidence, supporting a return to daily activities and enhancing quality of life.
